This workshop is an ideal forum to expand linocut skills while engaging in a new environment with students from diverse backgrounds. While beginners will be given step by step instruction more advanced students will be encouraged to work on their own ideas. The cultural input from Bali- this small but intensely artistic place is an interesting exchange for those of us in the west who often have little knowledge of Asian cultures and philosophy. This input can be particularly invigorating for artists who are encouraged to further develop their own thematic concerns and to look at their own work in a new way with the benefit of this perspective.
